Why I Made the Two Initial Necklace in Gold with Teardrop Pearls
There’s something incredibly special about the jewellery we wear every day — those pieces that feel like they’re part of us. They hold meaning, carry memories, and become little anchors we reach for without even thinking. That’s exactly what I had in mind when I designed the Two Initial Necklace in Gold with Teardrop Pearls.
This piece is about connection. Between people, between memories, between who we are and who we love. It’s for celebrating relationships — romantic, platonic, familial — or simply honouring the parts of yourself that deserve to shine.
Why Two Initials?
There’s an intimacy in initials. They can whisper rather than shout. A secret nod to someone who changed your life. Or a way to carry your own initials side by side — a bold little declaration of self-worth.
I’ve seen people wear this necklace with their children’s initials, or their partner’s and their own. One friend wore it for her mum and her grandmother, who both passed away within a year. Another customer chose the initials of her two dogs — her whole heart on a chain.
It becomes your story. And you get to choose how you tell it.
The Teardrop Pearl Touch
Pearls, for me, have always had a quiet strength. There’s something about their softness and shimmer that feels deeply comforting — like a whispered “you’ve got this”. I added two freshwater teardrop pearls to balance the gold and bring a lightness to the design. They give the necklace movement and a little elegance, without being too precious.
Think of it as an everyday heirloom — modern, but with that timeless undercurrent. Like something you'd find in a vintage shop in Paris and wear forever.
Your Gold, Your Way
You can choose from solid yellow, rose, or white gold — depending on what you’re drawn to. I handcraft each one in my London studio, so this piece is made-to-order, personal from the start. It’s the kind of necklace that sits just right on your collarbone, quietly catching the light and becoming part of your signature look.
Layer it with your other favourites or let it stand alone — it holds its own either way.
Who It's For
This one’s for the romantics, the minimalists, the storytellers. For the woman who knows herself and values sentiment over trend. It’s for marking love in its many forms, whether you’re in a chapter of deep romance, fierce friendship, or self-celebration.
And if you're anything like me — drawn to meaning, soulfulness, and design that doesn’t scream — I think you’ll fall in love with it too.
